Mr. Ian Goodenough MP

Member for Moore

Chairman of Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights

House of Representatives - Parliament House Canberra

Dear Mr. Goodenough,

Re:        THE STERLING GROUP OF COMPANIES COLLAPSE

There are over 100 victims of the Collapse in the Perth Metropolitan area.

My Landlord has now served me with a Form 17 “Notice to Tenant of Proposed Recover of Premises by Person with Superior Title”. Lodged with the Supreme Court of Western Australia. I have contacted WA Consumer Protection, who are doing all they can to assist me. For an age pensioner this whole situation is overwhelming.

I have also written to Mr. Shipton, the chairman of ASIC, the Prime Minister (twice), and tothe Hon. Josh Frydenburg MP.

I hold ASIC liable for the position I am in and my loss of $285,000, by allowing the Sterling Group of Companies to continue in business, following previous adverse investigations by ASIC into the Sterling Group.

I beg that you and the Federal Government address the issue raised in Parliament by the Hon.member for Brand. Mrs. Madeleine King. Ms. King told the parliament of the grave importance to many residents in her electorate of Brand  I am disgusted and I am dismayed. Nearly a dozen constituents within my electorate have lost their life savings to a scam investment scheme sold to them by Sterling First.

These vulnerable people have lost up to $200,000 each through being sold dodgy financial products by dodgy con artists.”

Well Mr. Goodenough there are also a number of Sterling New Life residents, and victims,

in the electorate of Moore. I am one of them.

I am asking that:

1.            Due to the urgency of this disaster, $28.6 million is immediately paid to the victims of the STERLING GROUP of Companies.

2.            I further ask, and yes demand, that the Federal Government establish:-

an immediate Royal Commission into the Inaction and CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE of ASIC
