THE DOWNER SAGA CONTINUES
The irony is Kaye Downer that its has taken three letters since January and the case being raised in Parliament with direct questions to Mr Hartzer for him to finally send a polite reply even it is an erroneous document. Its better than the original one size fits all flick letter that you and other member received from Westpac under their Flick Letter program. Mr Hartzer told Parliament an untruth when he said "our team have gone over this case thoroughly" and "FOS has also investigated this twice."
Now Mr Hartzer has to admit the sham that is FOS, actually threw out the case without investigation, without Recommendation and without Determination. He also backs FOS that "the broker is the agent if the Borrower," which Colin Neave a warned banks was erroneous in law in 2001. Oh Dear!
So he misled Parliament.....again. We leave it to Mr Hartzer to decide whether he knew and lied.....or whether he did not know, was not properly briefed and he could not care less about pesky stitched up customers.
The loan was UNSUSTAINABLE in law........................
Now Mr Hartzer says he agrees with the idea FOS would re-open the case if asked to do so. I will take the same time to respond to deliver his answer. We believe in Fairness. He has taken six months to deliver this backflip response. I wonder if he realises he and FOS are sticking to Westpac;s idea of fairness, that $500k loans to 60 year olds is appropriate?????????????
No doubt they are all willing to fight to keep their bonuses. Please Note there is clear evidence of fraud and forgery from inside the bank and we have the documentary proof. So which CEO wants to continue profiting from a fraud?
Which CEO wants to stop sending flick letters and examining these serious cases? They all promised: "we want to do more for our customers." OK so the Downers have been loyal customers to West[ac for the past 30 years!!!!! And this is how they are treated?
Bankers have much to learn from Consumers and that is why we must fr the sake of the economy, all start preparing fr the big trek to Canberra.
