Ross Greenwood discusses 'impairment of customer loans' parliamentary inquiry
Date April 4, 2016
A joint parliamentary inquiry called the 'impairment of customer loans' has been taking place regarding terms and conditions being changed for successful clients.
The inquiry involves the Commonwealth Bank's takeover of Bankwest.
Ross Greenwood spoke to Philip Ruddock of the House of Representatives about the inquiry on the Money News program.
"The banks had argued always that what they did was lawful, that doesn't mean that you would regard it as conscionable and appropriate," Mr Ruddock said.
