From BANKWEST victims:
"We wrote to ASIC recently and asked if they would look into a few BankWest victim cases including mine in light of the proposed liberal gov funding. Funding of recent $127 million is paid by the banks.
Well ASIC replied that they will not look into individual cases and the court is open to each of us etc.
What a waste of space this lot are. We cannot afford court expenses so what is left for us to seek compensation.
If the banks can pay $127m to ASIC then they can pay $59 m for a royal commission and save $70m."
Kind regards Trevor
Leading up from LAST WEEK and WHY ROYAL COMMISSION IS SO URGENT: ASIC say BUZZ OFF again!
Consumers complain ASIC SPENT YEARS sending out BUZZ OFF response letters and failed to investigate serious consumer complaints against Bankers.
GREG MEDCRAFT: Ex banker extraordinaire and Head of the Australian regulator ASIC and global regulator IOSCO, bleated: "we have no money to look after consumers, we have been cut back by the Liberals to only $350 million, so no more consumer protection."
HI HO SILVER!!! BANKS TO THE RESCUE said the headlines: Bankers PAY ASIC $127 million on a 24 decision on call....................Liberal Government said " please rescue consumers that you bankers by skull-skulduggery methods have placed in murky levels of debt...."
BANKERS SAY: "You bet baby! No problem: petty cash for us.........we have ripped of millions of consumers and can afford that."
CONSUMER victims of BANKWEST writes to ASIC: "Remember me......my case re Bankwest rip off fiasco....my losses..... You now have extra funds will you please investigate my case now please?"
ASIC and typical Greggie response: "BUZZ OFF we do not look into individual cases. We haven't looked after consumers for 18 years. The Banker's generous donation is for me to fund my expense account and trips to New York." mumble mumble....pesky consumers.....must be a whinger from that unheard of BFCSA mob.
GREGGIE TO REPORTERS: "I love my job as BIG BOSS of ASIC. I love my Gatekeeper Bankers, and we take complaints seriously and Australia is the white collar crime capital of the world, and we are proud of our achievements.
REPORTER: Have you nailed any bankers as yet?
GREGGIE: "No of course we could not do that to our benefactors."
"Mumble mumble... journo's are a silly lot. White Collar Crime is merely a cultural economics problem."
