Wow, I totally agree with Duped. Thank you James Wheeldon and Denise Brailey for this exposure. My mortgages were securitized. I, like many others when signing my contracts so it seems now, really did not know what I was signing and what securitization actually meant. And that is only one small aspect of all of this. Contracts for a start like many in this country, totally written for the lender and nothing in them for consumer protection.
Everyone with a house mortgage should be worried, let alone those with a portfolio of properties. Go back and read your contracts. I really ask myself now, Is it worthwhile owning anything? Well now that I don't because I'VE BEEN 'fleecedbyBOQ' I realize that the renters of Australia are the smart ones. So much less worry when u live week to week than actually owning anything. Such a shame as the ability to build wealth to self-fund in retirement is a good notion especially by way of superannuation into property as in my case, except for the lack of regulation of the regulators that has ruined so many retirements.
Either candidates to govern us MUST LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, I don't care which one, bring on the Royal Commission into BANKS urgently and pay the compensation that is due to all those robbed of their life savings and assets. And if it is you Mr Shorten, due to your being the only one to promise a Royal Commission into Banking please make it a proper one not a pretense.
