Facebook/BFCSA gaining momentum: "Mr PM please do not insult our intelligence."

From Tom Jordan on Facebook/BFCSA

It is amazing the number of people out there who just honestly don't know enough about the bank corruption and the ineffectual investigations carried out into our complaints - they believe that the banks are generally honest! The whole system is designed to have victims believe that the ombudsman is on their side - I am sure people reading this know that they are not. The 'Investigator' in our case made numerous mistakes and continually tried to close our file. Eventually they did close my file but my passing shot was to ask for a copy of the charter by which they were required to operate.

I found that the whole investigation was conducted completely outside the rules which governed the conduct of their investigation. Of course, once the file was closed the greedy banks had their attack dogs ready with legal papers and the flood gates were open. I did try to enlist the services of ASIC to investigate my complaints into the investigator but they were not interested - not even in a review.

With the evidence I presented to ASIC of a pathetically biased investigation in favour of the lender, why now, would I believe that ASIC's attitude would change. What makes it even worse is now knowing that ASIC actually, supposedly, has the powers of a Royal Commission - a power they seem to have never utilised up to now. An inquisition with the full powers of a Royal Commission is the only way any politician can satisfy those of us (including our families) who have been dragged through hell with what the banks have done to us.

Malcolm Turnbull, please don't insult our intelligence by asking us to believe that ASIC would ever carry out intrusive investigations into all corrupt aspects of the banks and financial industry in general. There will be very little momentum or interest in any of this beyond the election if the coalition win. We need an ironclad guarantee by all parties who support us to set a Royal Commission in train within 100 days of taking office.
