I have just finished reading the full article Denise has posted here and I still can't believe that the Liberal Party think they can resurrect this sorry impotent regulator.
I along with countless thousands of others were told to piss off (not in those same words but that's what they meant). But there are many strong willed people out there and it appears that many of us were not that easily dissuaded.
I after being told there is nothing can be done continued to fight purely based on principal and the fact myself and my family had done nothing wrong except believe that people you trusted could be trusted. The fight went on for around 2 years and our two Banks were found guilty of the same thing
MALADMINISTRATION in lending that is Fraud if you are Joe Public. If you or I falsified documentation to advantage ourselves we would go to Jail.
Why would a regulator not want to investigate wrong doings against the people and why would a government want to promote the use of the regulators power and then cut the funding it receives. The very same reason the current Government does not want a Royal Commission because they don't want our Banks exposed.
The relationship is too close between the Liberal Party, ASIC and our Banks ( who knows maybe they are one and the same) but a Royal Commission will tell us that.
