Do we need a royal commission into white collar crime?

The Australian Shareholders Association has hit out at the Commonwealth Bank saying it needs to "start taking ethics seriously".

The association also called for a royal commission into the insurance sector in response to this weeks shocking allegations that the Commonwealth Bank's life insurance arm, CommInsure, routinely cheated sick and dying people out of payouts.

Business journalist Paddy Manning says the entire financial industry needs to be properly examined and called for a royal commission into white collar crime.
