PUT SOME LAMB on the BARBIE and for one day of the year lets celebrate all the good stuff that makes us all "Aussies" and proud.

The negative comments re this years LAMB Ads is unAustralian, so lets put the record straight. We do not have civil war in this country. The actors (some famous) who came together to bring you this ad, believed it to be in good taste - and funny. And its a ripper. Taste is what the ads are about: tasting a lamb chop on the barbie and having a day off. There is nothing better.

FACT: Yes we squabble at time with families no matter which family background we have , no matter which country we originally came from, no matter whether we were the first inhabitants, and no matter which "boat" we arrived on. We celebrate us and thats worth celebrating as a nation of misfits or we can boast being the best of each country we came from. We have more in common than we do our differences and thats worth celebrating.

To the wowsers and whingers and, yes there are always a few in every culture, I would say "put a sock in it" come to gather around the barbie and put a smile on yer dial. Believe it or not even the original mob argue about issues the same as everyone else and have done so for hundreds of years. We are all human beings and its what we all do best. But we know when to do a send up and we love having a laugh and a good day around the Barbie with a beer or maximum two.

The three aboriginals are cooking some Lamb on the beach, when they are interrupted by all these people arriving is quintessentially Australian. The three actors agree its time to laugh at our-selves and have some fun. Within two minutes they have the league of nations arrive. Its a send up for even those with a humourless look. When you see the Ad start laughing and lighten up.

This year's LAMB AD has it all and no-one is excluded. Whatever your creed, JUST AVE A GOOD DAY. This is one day of the year we can all join hands and celebrate what is the goodness in all of us aussies and "put another chop, shrimp, snag or rump on the barbie and just enjoy the day out in the fresh air.

Children from all nationalities will thank you for this moment.
